The National Agency for Food Safety of the Republic of Moldova revealed violations of the labeling and use of prohibited ingredients in juices, which are exported from Ukraine.

The National Agency for Food Safety of the Republic of Moldova informed the State Consumer Service of the detection by the Ukrainian producers-exporters of juices and similar products of violations of the requirements of the regulatory acts of the Republic of Moldova that regulate the import and distribution of food products on the market in terms of labeling. The norms of the Law of the Republic of Moldova dated December 15, 2017 No. 279 On informing consumers about food products and the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Moldova dated December 6, 2011 No. 1111 On approving the Technical Regulations Juices and some similar products intended for human consumption were violated regarding the labeling of products and the use of ingredients, the use of which is prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, the message says.

It is noted that the competent authority of the Republic of Moldova reported on the possibility of applying restrictions to Ukrainian producers of juices and similar products in the event of repeated violations. For this reason, the National Agency for Food Safety of the Republic of Moldova initiates joint inspections by the competent authorities of both countries of Ukrainian producers of juices and similar products that export products to Moldova.
