Ukrainian producers exported 11.1 thousand tons of sugar last month. The main importer is Uzbekistan.
In September 2018, Ukrainian producers exported 11.1 thousand tons of sugar. This is half as much as in the previous month.
Uzbekistan remains the main importer of Ukrainian sugar, with a share of 62% of all supplies. Another 17% of shipments go to Moldova and 8% each to Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
According to Ukrtsukra, exports in the current marketing year will be about 500-600 thousand tons of sugar, while Uzbekistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan will remain the main importing countries
It is noted that as of October 17, 569.4 thousand tons of sugar were produced and 37 sugar factories were operating.
As reported, Ukrainian enterprises in the 2017/2018 marketing year exported 560.4 thousand tons of sugar. In comparison with the 2016/2017 marketing year, the decline in 2017/2018 MY was 27.2%.
Recall, Ukraine in July of the current marketing year exported 36.7 thousand tons of sugar. This is 46% less than in June.
