In September, Ukraine reduced the export of dairy products by 40% compared to the same period last year - to $ 18.3 million, which is the lowest figure ever.

"A significant decline in the price of butter and powdered milk on the world market was affected by the fact that in September Ukraine had the lowest export earnings from the sale of dairy products in 2018 - $ 8.3 million (minus 21.8% compared with August). year and minus 40% compared with September last year), "- said in a statement.
It is noted that the largest reduction occurred in dry milk - by 48.5% and butter - by 50.2% - to those export categories that brought the main revenue last year. Exports of milk and cream in the nine months of 2018 amounted to 15.5 thousand tons, which is 86.6% more compared to the same period last year, in monetary terms, exports amounted to $ 11 million, which is 90.3% more than in January-September last year.
The main sales markets for this product were Moldova, with a share of 25.1% of all deliveries, Libya (20.8%) and Poland (23%). Experts also noted that exports of condensed milk and cream for 9 months brought Ukraine $ 48 million, which is 24.6% less than the same period last year.
In real terms, the export of these products amounted to 29 thousand tons, which is 21.5% less than in the same period last year. Most products of this group were shipped to Bangladesh - for a total of $ 7.5 million and Kazakhstan - for a total of $ 6 million.
At the same time, exports of dairy products to foreign markets in January-September 2018 showed the greatest increase - up to $ 6.5 million, which is 120% more than the same period last year.
In real terms, this indicator amounted to 4 thousand tons, which is 1.5 times (49.7%) more than in the same period last year.
Most of the products of this group were sold to Kazakhstan - by $ 6 million and to Moldova - by $ 1.8 million. Sales of whey also decreased - by 7.5% compared to the same period last year - to 23.5 thousand tons. In monetary terms, this figure was 15.8 million, or 20.4% less than in the same period last year, experts said.
