The pillars of the export strategy of Ukraine are five promising sectors and four cross-sectors. Among those are information and communication technologies, food and processing industry, maintenance and repair of aircraft, creative industries, machine building, innovations for export, skills improvement, transportation and trade facilitation, trade information and export promotion.
"Creating new opportunities for exporters is among the topmost priorities for the Government. Therefore, in synergy with business, we develop sectoral and cross-sectoral export strategies in the most promising sectors for entrepreneurs to have guidance and produce a wider and more competitive range of propositions for its products in the promising markets. The developed strategies will facilitate the transition to the export of high-tech innovative products, from which both business and Ukraine as a whole will benefit", commented Stepan Kubiv, First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine the next stage of implementing the Export Strategy of Ukraine.
In real time mode, the participants in the Second national consultation formed the vision and strategic objectives of each sector and cross-sector, filled action plans with appropriate measures and identified key stakeholders and executives.
The Second national consultation was held at the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine within the framework of the project Export Strategy of Ukraine, with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, acting on behalf of the Government of Germany, and in cooperation with the International Trade Center (Geneva).
